Game 4 - Bayswater Morley vs. Cardinals

Location Bayswater Morley - Early 09:15 Weather Cold
After a week’s break everybody from the Cardies was looking forward to playing again. The Cardies came into the game thinking that it would be a tough game after Bayswater defeated the Bulldogs by only one point.

Bayswater showed us how they played against Bulldogs in the first ten minutes, kicking the first goal and killing us in the centre clearances.  Adro helped them on the scoreboard while saving us from two goals by his rushed behinds. Chris was our only goal scorer scoring from a hard angle, leaving the scores very tight at quarter time.

In the second term, we found our form dominating everywhere on the field. In that quarter Chris, Tom and Aden combined and could not be stopped. The poor skills from the opposition like SOCCERING really annoyed everyone even the Cardies, it was like being on a soccer field and was disgraceful to watch; but they usually went to our players and converted them into goals. We kicked 5 goal and 2 points in the term with Bayswater kicking zero points.

The next quarter of footy wasn’t much difference, but we used their mistakes like SOCCERING and either ran or kicked our way into the forward line. Ryan kicked a cracker from an impossible angle to make us even further ahead. By then, we knew by then it was all over and we needed to play for percentage. Louis had the best quarter he had ever played and cleared the ball out from the back to the forward. Bayswater didn’t score a point that quarter.

In the four term a lot changed, the ball wasn’t going down our end and they kept pressuring forward, but they still couldn’t score. We didn’t let them score heavily, but 2 goals to them and 3 goal to us kept us over 60 point to raise the percentage on the ladder to keep us first.

Best: Chris, Aden, Louis, Skenda and Ryan
